Evolution Guest Setter

In the up and coming round on Sunday 16th November will have a special guest route setter in the form of Tony Musslebrook. For those of you that have not heard of Tony he has included a bit of background information for you below:

  • started doing the SIBL in 2000, pretty much the same time i started climbing. won the junior category in 2004.
  • got an invite onto the British team in 2005, still a member today. in 2007 i came 9th in a European comp in Poland.
  • also in 2007 i did 3rd ascent of Chimaera 7a at high rocks. i grew up climbing on sandstone and it is in my top 2 favourite rock types to climb on, the other is slate.
  • my favourite routes/problems are;

flying buttress direct E1/HVS Stanage

Chimaera 7a high rocks

the medium 8a+ North Wales slate quarries

Mesuga (but i have not yet grown a big enough pair to "lead" it, its just a totally awesome route)

and hangover 3 6a Harrison's rocks (but only when I get the beta right, otherwise it is sheer chaos)

and eclipse 7c/V9 Fontainebleau
